• POSITIVE ION CONTROL: Counteract fish-repelling negative energy fields with Cannon’s Positive Ion Control technology. Emits a field of positive ions to draw fish to the cannonball – right where you want ’em.
• SHORT-STOP: Automatically stops the weight at the water’s surface, preventing the lift motor from raising it into the pulley at the end of the boom. When the downrigger cable is in the water, a small electrical current flows between the cable and grounded metal boat components in the water. When the cable clears the water, the current flow stops. The Short-Stop system senses this interruption and turns off the motor. The trolling weight insulator is used to break the cable contact to the water while the weight is still in the water. Stopping the weight at water level eliminates the cable strain caused by a bouncing weight or a weight hitting the boom end, and it also keeps the weight from swinging into the boat hull. This feature requires the boat to be properly grounded.

Performance Boat Props Make a Difference

Is a boat prop, just a prop? Absolutely, without a doubt, no. Take a 17 pitch boat propeller from 10 different manufacturers. Run them all on your boat, and you know what you'll get? Speed variance of up to 8 mph and rpm differences up to 600! But how is that possible, you ask? Because not all props are created equal! The difference is in the design!

Turning Point Propellers uses a sophisticated, scientific method in its designs. Variables such as rake, pitch progression, cupping, blade area and blade thickness of the blades all come into play. If a propeller is tuned correctly taking into account these variables, it will dramatically increase the overall performance.

But how can these marine propellers perform better than OEM props if they design them for their motors? How are they better than Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, Evinrude, Honda, Suzuki, or OMC propellers - It's relatively easy. Turning Point tests the performance of all boat props and makes sure that they run better than OEM and aftermarket props. Of course a Turning Point may not run the fastest on every boat, but to say it is the fastest 9 times of 10 is fair. Turning Point designs its aluminum and stainless steel boat propellers to not only run fast, but also provide superior handling on sharp turns at high speeds. Once you get your new Turning Point prop, give it a good strong test, and you'll see and feel the difference.

Through prop testing, we've identified some of the worst performing propellers. On the aftermarket side, Michigan Wheel props have proven time and time again to be the worst props for speed, acceleration, handling and fuel economy. The worst OEM prop, sharing the same bad traits as the Michigan prop, is Yamaha aluminum props. They are so poorly designed, that we couldn't even turn the boat without it ventilating. The only way to make that prop hook up with the water again was to back off the throttle.

By far, no comparision, if you want a good running prop, Turning Point Propellers is the best option.
