Garmin has done it again. Leading the industry in gps, they have come up with a handheld device that will track your hunting dogs in the field. It is called the Astro 220. Whether it's tall grass or dense cover there is no more worrying about where you are aiming, you get quick monitoring of your dogs position on the ground so you can follow them around. All you do is attach the DC 20 wireless transmitter to your dog with the wireless transmitter, go outside, and turn em loose. The GPS device also has a setting to alarm you when the dog is pointing.
Using several transmitters you can track up to ten dogs, and you can track them from as far as five miles away (depending on conditions). The system works best in flat open territory.
Using waypoints you can track where, when, and how many birds you found and took. The Astro 220 is not just a Tracking GPS, it is a full feature GPS that includes a : barometric altimeter, microSD card slot, celestial information, area calculator, IPX7 waterproof exterior and a revolutionary 3-axis compass. The nitrogen Gas Actuator provides LIFT at the stern of the boat by holding the trim plate down during acceleration. The amount of LIFT is determined by the actuator load rating and the trim plate adjustment, which is done at the time of installation.

SPEED REGULATION
SMART TABS start in a downward angel to maximize lift at slow speeds. As the boat accelerates, the water pushes up on the trim plates providing lift to the stern which minimizes bow rise, and allows the boat to plane quickly.
Once the water pressure exceeds the actuator load rating (maximum lift) the trim plates move up to a horizontal position eliminating any drag.

Even when cruising SMART TABS continue to work like shock absorbers. The constant adjustment to sea conditions allow SMART TABS to provide remarkable stability in turns, while crossing waves, while cruising, and while running at maximum speeds. No more sliding, porpoising, or chine walking.

As the boat speed increases, the water pressure also increases. Once the water pressure exceeds the Actuator load rating (maximum LIFT period) the trim plates begin to move upward until they are horizontal with the bottom of the boat.
The internal valve system dampens the trim plate movement wich eliminates any instant reaction to minor water pressure variances. SMART TABS provide smooth and undetectable reaction to boat speed creating a level, more comfortable ride at lower speeds.
